Four of the five Midgets today at British Car Day, Raleigh NC. The 5th Midget was a lovely '67 model that for some reason was spotted on its own. That's my heap in the foreground. And yes, that's a D Type Jaguar in the background. And it's not a replica...plus the guy actually drove it the 75 miles up from Pinehurst, NC. It's one of about 70 built, with a value well into seven figures. And sounded absolutely incredible...

C'mon, Raleigh isn't Mayberry. It isn't even anywhere near Mayberry.

Cr*p! I'm working in Charleston this weekend. Haven't seen anything interesting down here. I know there are some gems hiding in garages near the Battery.

I've lived here for 40 years. It's not Mayberry now...but damn it sure used to be...

But it was still a nasty trick you pulled. Here I was thinking there was a British car show in little ol' Mount Airy and it turns out to be "just" Raleigh.

Hah! I like to patronize the rest of the country who still think NC is all Andy and Opie and all that...

Don't forget about this guy.
Sometimes, it seems like a small miracle when people remember that North Carolina exists at all.
